Blog Post Title One
I moved back to the family home in South-West Scotland, in 2021 after a long stint of 25 years in London. St Mary’s Isle Estate was always home for me and after a little persuasion, I was able to convince my wife and 2 young boys that this would be an ideal and idyllic place to raise our family.
Shooting and the countryside in general has always been one of my passions and having often made fortnightly visits during the winter months to shoot here at home.
For the last 10 years, the shoot had been tenanted out to various different parties, all of whom had struggled to provide full value for money, both for our family and our guests and it was getting frustrating and slightly worrying.
Having constantly expressed my frustration to my wife, she suggested that I “bite the bullet” and take on the running of the shoot myself……it was a situation that filled me with some trepidation and excitement………and I then realised that we had a lot of work to do in order to get ready for day 1.
First things first was to appoint a keeper - and after using my contacts, recruitment agencies and sporting websites, I spent the first weeks of February looking fo the best person who would fit the brief and share my vision for what could be done…….and so it began!
By the time Ian, the keeper, had started in earnest, I had a good idea of where our poults were going to come from, where the drives needed improving and even started contacting a few customers……Things were starting to take shape.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
